In-Person Worship Temporarily Canceled

The difficult decision has been made to temporarily cancel our in-person worship beginning December 27, 2020 through February 14, 2021. While it is true that church worship is specifically excluded from any Pennsylvania Department of Health limitations, we “…are strongly encouraged to find alternative methods for worship, as in person gatherings pose a significant risk to participants at this time.
While this an incredibly difficult recommendation to make, particularly at this time of year, faith leaders must carefully weigh the health risks to their congregants given the immense amount of community spread of COVID-19.” As followers of Jesus Christ, we have chosen to follow the second greatest commandment to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Here is our tentative schedule for this period of time:
• December 27, 2020 – NO in-person worship.
• December 28—31, 2020 – Church Office is closed.
• January 3, 2021 – NO in-person worship.
• January 10, 2021 – NO in-person worship.
• January 17, 2021 – NO in-person worship.
• January 24, 2021 – NO in-person worship.
• January 31, 2021 – NO in-person worship.
• February 7, 2021 – NO in-person worship.
• February 14, 2021 – NO in-person worship.
Opportunities for on-line worship will be made available on our YouTube channel and on our Facebook page. Church Office hours for January and February will be determined as we move forward. The Church building will be available for groups to meet as long as they comply with any limitations as imposed by any Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines. These gatherings MUST be noted on the Church calendar so that the Church Custodian is aware and can make arrangements to clean after any group has met. All Leadership meetings during this time will be meeting on Zoom and will not meet in person. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
