In Jr Church, we are studying Resurrection Eggs. We are learning about Lent and what Jesus did for us by dying on the cross and being raised from the dead! Keep watching as we continue the skits during the children’s sermon.

Stitches & Prayers have been in contact with Birds in Flight Sanctuary in Warren, OH and will be making rescue nests and pouches for small animals in need during rehabilitation. Originally this project started out to help the animals involved in the wildfires in Australia, but due to the overwhelming response of crafters around the world, they are overwhelmed. We looked for a one-of-a-kind animal rescue and wildfire sanctuary and found Birds in Flight would fit. For any of these projects and patterns see Janet Green or contact the church office. Thank you in advance.
The Men’s Group wants to thank the church for their support of the Christmas Wreath Project. A special thanks to Rick Wilson, Lisa and “Duck” Burchfield for their coordination of the sales and delivery.
The money will be used to support church and community activities.
Let someone know you appreciate them, you’re thinking of them, or tell them “thanks for being you”.

In February we sent six prayer shawls to General Conference. We participated in the American Heart Association “Little Hats Big Hearts” program by sending 78 little red hats with Cyndi Bennett to local participating hospitals.
We also gave out three prayer shawls, one wedding shawl, one youth lap blanket, and four adult lap blankets throughout the year.
Since the end of October, you have been praying for my wife Ali and her recovery from surgery. I am pleased to tell you that she is making great strides in recovery and she could be returning to work sometime in February. I am so grateful to have prayer partners in you! Thank you!
Equally important, thank you for your patience with me as I have been helping Ali recover. There have been days that I might have missed something because we had to run to this doctor or that therapy session. I am grateful to have such a forgiving church family as you! Thank you!
Another thank you from the pastor…
I received this note from the Conference Center on November 18, 2019…
Hello fellow riders!
Prayerfully you should all be recovered from our October excursion across the beautiful Great Allegheny Passage and the historic, somewhat bumpy Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Path.
I have wanted to write sooner, but we have been receiving donations continually. Even last week we received 2 new donations. We also wanted to factor in the expenses of the trip before we gave a final tally.
So, without further ado, we have raised $30,000 for camperships! And this is after expenses were taken out! Praise God! If you remember at our opening worship service Jessica (Gamache, Conference Camping Coordinator) shared with us that last year $55,000 was given out so children and youth might have an opportunity to experience camp. How many more children/youth will be blessed because of your hard work?? Again, PRAISE GOD!
As our fellow rider and leadership team member Raphael has put it, “Blessed are ye who plan, recruit, ride and raised money that the marginalized amongst ye may experience UMC Camp. Ye do kingdom work. Hallelujah!“
I thank you all for all your support and prayers!! God is good!
There is a tree in the entry to the sanctuary with angel ornaments with gift selections for 2 needy families in our community.
Please choose your ornaments and “sign them out” on the form opposite the tree in the entryway.
Wrapped gifts with the ornaments attached to the outside of the package will need returned to the church by Sunday, December 15th to be distributed to the families for Christmas.
Please help us bless these 2 families for Christmas. If you have any questions, contact Robyn Shields.
Thank you all for supporting the Operation Christmas Child outreach ministry! We are now approaching the time where all filled boxes and donated items will need to be brought to the local drop off point in Oil City on Thursday, November 21, 2019 between 6PM – 8PM. Therefore, please have the items you would like to donate to a Christmas box to the church by Sunday, November 10, 2019. This will ensure there is enough time to pack boxes with the donated items. Please have your packed boxes to the church by Sunday, November 17, 2019. If you have any questions, please see Sara Wiegel.
